Here is a developing list of the existing native plant life here existing before we came to our home on Malum Ridge next to the Sierra National Forest near Oakhurst-Yosemite, CA.
So, here is the list, still in progress, of the natives on my side of Peckinpah Mountain at 3000 feet.
Soon after coming to this place, the west side of Peckinpah Mountain at 3000 feet, I wanted to know more about some of the plants I would be living with, the natives here in the Sierra National Forest, which is on the other side of my fence. My neighbor who had worked for the forest service and retired was a big help and full of information to satisfy my need to know names.
From the first, after the names were discovered, I started observing the characteristics of the plants and trees through the seasons here on our property. Loads of information helped fill out this compilation from online sources like Calphotos and Cal Flora.
