Trying out the new Calscape website

An easy tool to find CA native plants for you!

Just enter your address into this database and all the CA native plants that are perfect for your garden are displayed with photos and descriptions. It’s easy and fun!

Despite the wettest winter in five years, California remains in a drought which is motivating many homeowners in the Golden State to replace their lawns and other water-thirsty plants.

A new website, Calscape.org, makes it easier for Californians to do this in a way that saves water, and also helps bring native plants back to the developed part of the state, along with the birds, butterflies, bees and other pollinators that depend on them.

Here it is!  You can scroll through and see the plants chosen for my garden, near Oakhurst, CA:
