Such a great thing to have a mountain. Our one is so beautiful that it has to be watched, not just looked at, as it changes every minute. Makes it hard to get any work done outside.

I love the sun with the dark clouds…it is an inspiring picture

All of these are beautiful, Sue, but my favourite is the last one, as it captures the trees in your garden so perfectly 🙂

We’ve also been having rain (the first falls of our rainy season) and I absolutely love dark, forboding clouds!

Kerry, SB, Gail, Donna and Desiree,
Thanks for your comments! You can see why this piece of property captured our imaginations and we dared to civilize it enough to be able to live here. When I’m gardening and look up, I’m awestruck again and again. The stormy clouds this day never produced rain, but they warned of the power of Nature.

Love love love it! Clouds on mountains – our coastal hills are pimples compared with your Sierra views of course but I’m endlessly captivated by the play of light on our hills here also. I can just imagine what any photo can’t capture – the movement, the 3d and 4d aspects of being there, inhaling the air that is moving the clouds that … Oh, isn’t it just grand!

    Thanks, Renee!
Yes, just grand, Mouse! I do love your coastal mountains, though and so admire the contrast of light spring green of the grassy hills and the dark green of the oaks dotted on them. I have a deep deep love for all our California landscape and feel lucky to live here.
