Christmas Day Dawn

5:30 am- After making the coffee and finishing up last night’s dishes and the family sleeps, turned around to see the sky lit up with red, …another brilliant sky for Christmas Day dawn.

Grabbed the camera and bounded up the hill to photograph it over the house and over the goat shed. Not feeling the cold it seems, I wandered a bit talking photos up and down the hill, coming back in the warm house, with a cold nose and cheeks, grateful for my shelter, and the hot coffee.

My friends,
Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.

Thanks, Lona and welcome! We had had four days of rain and next morning, Christmas, the sunrise was amazing. Best wishes to youfor a happy New Year.

Just gorgeous. We also had a few fleeting but amazing sunsets right after our record-breaking rains here in SoCal. Isn’t it great to live where the skies are clear and the air smells like fresh dew and forests, chaparral or whatever plant life happens to abounds in the area? Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Thanks, Arleen, and Happy Christmas to you as well! Yes, it is so enjoyable to live where there is fresh air and the scent of sage. It’s probably tarweed, tho! Are you on high ground, I wonder? There was lots of rain.

Sounds like it was a great morning, crisp cold air, gorgeous skies, hot coffee. May the new year bring you lots more views like this one!
