I really like that understory one gets beneath trees. You wordlessly point out the necessity to just spend some time looking at it.

Thanks Kerry, I really enjoy your blog. The Thyme post and the poppies. Great! My sister lives in Blenheim. I visited her two years ago when they lived in Geraldine and we traveled your way on a 3 day trip, Dunedin, Balcutha, and Owaka, then made tracks through the bush to the beach in several places. Saw the Dunedin Botanical. Wonderful!! How’s your mullein doing? hahaha

Yes, they are! There are no deer or gophers on Maggie’s watch. She’s a herder, so she even watches over us, herding us down the hallways nipping at our pantlegs. 🙂

Just love your landscape with the beautiful, mature oak trees. Three years ago I planted a couple Coast Live oaks on our property, but they’re only about 2 ft. in height right now. Btw, your pooch looks so alert and attentive. We have a ditzy Akita who would rather gut her squeaky toys or play with the frisbee than chase squirrels, bunnies and gophers on the home front. Sigh.

Thanks, Arleen, I took a look at your blog…very nice! We have a lot of the same interests…even Pride and Prejudice, however, I like the Jennifer Ehle, Colin Firth version. 🙂

So….I come to your website to try and identify a tree and what do I find? A corgi! Our Clogs would love to meet your Maggie as she much prefers Corgis to any other breed of dog. 🙂
